Zulqarnain takes back accusations against PCB,

LAHORE: Wicket keeper Zulqarnain Haider has admitted his mistake and taken back accusations leveled against the PCB, Geo News reported.

The runaway wicket keeper appeared before the PCB disciplinary committee on Friday who fined him Rs 500,000.

Speaking to media afterwards, Haider said that it was wrong of him to leave the national team in Dubai and flee to London without informing the PCB. Haider added that he would accept all decisions of the disciplinary committee.

The chairman of the committee, Sultan Rana also spoke to the media. He said that Zulqarnin Haider had admitted to his mistakes and had taken back accusations leveled against the PCB. Rana added that the wicket keeper would be monitored for one year.

Zulqarnain Haider had fled to London during Pakistan’s series against South Africa in Dubai.

Haider claimed he had received death threats from an unknown source which prompted him to leave without informing anyone.
